Windows & Vision Walls

Aluflam’s frames are constructed from thermally broken narrow aluminum extrusions filled with a proprietary fire blocking material. Window products are available in 20, 45, and 60 minute ratings and Vision Walls are available in a 60 minute rating, both for interior and exterior installation.

Aluflam Windows and Vision walls are factory finished and
fabricated complete before delivery — reducing installation and glazing to a conventional task for the commercial glazing contractor.

A popular option for glazing Aluflam 60 minute windows and vision walls is the Aluflam butt joined glazing (link), where multiple panels of fire-rated glass can be joined together by means of a unique fire-rated silicone joint. This mullion-less design is available for interior wall systems.

Contraflam Structure 60 is a clear multi-chamber fire-resistive glass for interior butt-joint applications – UL listed for up to 60 minutes fire rating.  Several glass units are installed side-by-side with silicone butt joints for a continuous glass wall appearance.  Each unit is made of tempered safety glass, sealed to be completely moisture-resistant, with internal chambers filled with an environmentally friendly, transparent and UV-stable alkaline silicate based chemical mixture.  In the event of fire, these intumescent interlayers expand as opaque foam providing necessary heat insulating properties.  Contraflam Structure 60 meets CPSC 16CFR 1201-CAT II impact safety rating.
